NAWIC's Annual Conference is held in a different city in the United States each year. The conference includes business sessions, speakers, workshops and seminars. It affords members an opportunity to network with other NAWIC members from across the country.
The 2019 annual conference will be held in Atlanta, Georgia on August 21st-24th. This year’s conference will offer invaluable education in nearly 20 different breakout sessions that are not only industry specific, but also beneficial to our professional development as a whole. The conference is designed for all women in construction, NAWIC members and non- members alike.

On April 6th, 13 women donned bandanas, gloves and welding helmets in the classroom of NAWIC #77 member Cory Humes. Cory is the instructor at WW NDT Services and Welding School in Springfield, Oregon coordinating the three-month accelerated welding training program that launches trained students into the trades. NAWIC Salem Chapter #198 members and guests joined the Eugene NAWIC chapter volunteers for this special opportunity for a hands-on welding experience. Laughter rang as sparks flew, and at the end of the day, all had tried their hand at something new. Special thanks to Cory and her students for their guidance, to Wendy Cole and Farwest steel for their donation of materials and to WW NDT Services and Welding School for hosting us. There are plans to carry the torch of this event into the future as an annual opportunity for NAWIC chapters to meet and learn together.
